WHAT WE
BELIEVE
We Believe in the existence and deity of God, that He has revealed Himself in the Holy Scriptures and in creation and that He is revealed as a trinity in unity, consisting of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Psalm 19:1, Romans 1:19-20, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14)
...in the deity of Jesus Christ, His eternal existence, and His sinless life. Further, we believe in His death, burial, resurrections, His ascension, and His imminent, visible and personal return. (Hebrews 1:1-3, John 1:1-3, Luke 1:35, Matthew 27:45-56, John 19:38-42, Mark 16:1-8, Luke 24:50-54, John 14:1-3)
... in the deity of the Holy Spirit; that He regenerates the believer, that He is a comforter and guide, and that He sanctifies the believer, empowering the believer to obey the will of God. (Matthew 28:19, John 3:3-8, 2 Peter 2:20-21)
... that the Scriptures consist of the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible, that every word is true, and that they are infallible, inerrant and our final authority in all matters of Life, faith and practice. (Timothy 3:16-17, 2 Peter 2:20-21)
... that man was created in the image of God, but by both nature and choice is sinful, thus separated from God and deserving of eternal death. (Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23)
... in both the sovereignty of God and the free will of man, and that neither is in opposition to the other. In Particular, that God calls the believer to salvation, and that man is required to respond in obedience to God's call and that the sovereignty of God does not violate the free will of man and that the free will of man does not violate the sovereignty of God. ... that regeneration is a spiritual necessity and that it is a supernatural change made in the heart of every believer by the Holy Spirit. (John 3:3-8, Titus 3:5)
...that faith in Christ alone to be the only means of salvation and eternal life, that Jesus the Christ is the sinner's substitute before God, that He offered Himself as an acceptable sacrifice for the sins of the world and salvation is available to all who would believe in Christ. ...in the ordinance of Baptism of believers by immersion (Matthew 3:13-17, Acts 8:36-38)
...God created us in His image and after His likeness. Male and female and that marriage is between one man and one woman. (Matthew 19:4-6)
... in the ordinance of the Lord's Supper to remember Jesus' death on the cross. (Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 11:23-32)
...in the perfect equality of believers before God, and that Christ is the head of His church. (Romans 12:4, 1 Corinthians 12:12, Galatians 3:28)
...in the resurrection of the dead, both the just and unjust, the just to eternal everlasting life with the Lord Jesus Christ, and the unjust to everlasting punishment eternally separated from God. (John 11:25-26, Revelation 20:5, 21:1-4, 22:16)
... that Jesus Christ is the judge of the living and the dead (Matthew 25:31-45, Revelation 20:4-6, 11-15)
